It’s only the beginning of the week and you’re thinking “How am I going to get through to the weekend without going insane” Well, here are ways to help you deal with the stress and help you survive the week.
Start the day off on a positive
Positivity is key to getting through a tough week. If you start the morning off in a good mood, then chances are you’ll have a productive and positive day. Before getting to work do something that you enjoy. If coffee is your thing, make yourself your favourite brand of coffee and take your time to enjoy it, not gulping it down just to get to your desk!
Treat yourself
Reward yourself for your hard work with something nice. It doesn’t have to be something big or expensive. Eat a delicious snack or meal, buy a new outfit, take a drive with the music on loud. ‘Treat yo self!’ And give yourself the time and space to fully enjoy it.
Take breaks
If you feel like you’re burning out, take a short break. Go for a 5-minute walk, get some fresh air. This will help you decompress.
Do something nice for someone else
I know, you’re stressed and the last thing you’re probably thinking about is doing something for someone else. But helping someone else could give you a burst of positive energy! And it doesn’t have to be anything major, it could be something simple, such as opening a door for someone or asking a co-worker how they’re doing.
Focus on the good things
Amidst all the stress and the crazy week you’re having it can be hard to focus on the good things that went on throughout the day. Focusing on the things that are going right can help you keep things into perspective. You can write it down or share something positive about your day with a friend.
Plan your weekend in advance
Start making plans for the weekend on Monday, that way you will have something to look forward to at the end of the week! It’s going to build anticipation and it’s going to make the week fly by.
